Network Help Desk Specialist

PRIMARY SUPPORT SYSTEMS, has an immediate opening for a Network Help Desk Specialist This challenging and dynamic position would suit a self-starter who enjoys a fast paced environment and a variety of responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a true team player who has a talent for troubleshooting, combined with a methodical approach to system analysis. The candidate will work with the existing team to administer technical support to our Network clients We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, preferably with experience in providing remote assistance in the areas outlined below. In this role of Help Desk Specialist you will be expected to assist clients and the technical team with:
  • Trouble shooting user application problems and performance issues on systems & networks
  • Installing, configuring & maintaining software
  • Performing necessary upgrades to the operating systems, including researching and installing patches, security updates, and service packs
  • Maintaining inventory, ordering/purchasing products for the technical team
  • Providing support to Developers, DBA, System Analysts, Business Analysts & Project Management group on various Operating Systems and tools, network configuration & system related issues
  • Providing day to day system administration on user id management, email accounts, mailing lists, file system creation/change, maintain version release software, etc
  • Enter work orders and track through to billing and follow up with clients
